Unshackled Ventures is the only early-stage venture capital fund that enables unrecognized and excluded immigrant founders to start companies in the U.S. The fund provides investment capital, along with full immigration support, including visa sponsorship and employment, and plugging portfolio founders into the VC ecosystem. About the Investment Analyst Position : We are excited to add a new full-time member to our investment team. The Investment Analyst will be responsible for engaging in a variety of investment-related activities, including deal flow & pipeline coordination, sourcing, evaluating investment opportunities and deep dives into new topic areas. Key Responsibilities: Deal Sourcing: Actively source new investment opportunities through networking, events, direct outreach + support the team with existing sourcing strategies. Build a robust network among investors, founders, and other partners aligned with our mission. Investment Analysis: Oversee UV’s investment pipeline to ensure that the team moves companies efficiently through the investment process. Screen potential investment opportunities. Participate in due diligence of active investment opportunities, including market research, calls with founders, as well as creating memos and other materials to support diligence discussions. Portfolio Management: Assist in ongoing support of portfolio companies and work alongside UV Team members to help in expanding and amplifying broader portfolio support efforts. Requirements: You should thrive in a very small and intensely collaborative team environment while also being self-directed and operate with a strong sense of agency. Deep intellectual curiosity and strong work ethic. Exceptional written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills coupled with strong organizational skills. Demonstrated experience in reviewing and analyzing investment opportunities through internships, student organizations, or related activities. Ability to work independently and excel in an unstructured/entrepreneurial environment. The ideal candidate will have a balance of creativity and deep analytical rigor along with a passion for the technology startup ecosystem and markets. Mission & values aligned individual.
