Job Description

We're looking for a fun and energetic Technolgy Manager, or as we call it, Technical Strategic Initiatives Manager to help us expand our digital footprint to help meet our long-term operational excellence objectives. The Technical Strategic Initiatives Manager will work under the direction of the Technology Capabilities Director in a collaborative environment to identify, research, vet, and execute against a variety of technical strategic initiatives. Your deep understanding of the SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle) will contribute to the development of best practices for standards, processes, and repeatable methodologies. You will identify optimal system enhancements and integration opportunities in support of our goal of single source of truth/data aggregation.

Your role will foster team relationships to enhance collaboration and knowledge sharing within our "Tech Titans" community across a geographically dispersed team. You will train and mentor team members on the repeatable SDLC methodologies you develop.

You will identify team member strengths and delegate responsibilities as a means to empower and grow the team. You have an artistic ability to develop and deliver engaging presentations for diverse audiences, such as conference speaking engagements and webinars.

As a leader, you have strong analytical skills and like to problem-solve. You can prioritize and meet deadlines with your time management skills. You take initiative and have a passion for excellence and set goals for professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Staying abreast of emerging technologies and accessibility to lead and support our strategic digital transformation journey.
  • Writing business cases or conducting gap analyses to champion innovative process improvement ideas and providing for-for-purpose recommendations with supporting ROI data (e.g., pros/cons, cost-benefit analysis, risks)
  • Facilitating business requirements gathering sessions with internal and external facing project teams.
  • Performing data analytics and data aggregation activities to develop and monitor KPI metrics and management reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 5+ years in the SDLC
  • 2+ years in a people leadership role
  • Fluent in the Microsoft product suite, especially DevOps
  • Proficient in at least two (2) programming languages
  • Able to engage and establish positive relationships with all levels of the organization
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Nice to have

  • ITIL or similar certification
