Job Summary:
As a Security Consultant Intern with Tenax Solutions, an IP Pathways Company, you will actively contribute to the execution of penetration testing for clients spanning various industries in accordance with established standards. This role encompasses assisting in governance risk and compliance (GRC) readiness examinations, collaborating on the resolution of identified vulnerabilities, and engaging in effective client communication. This internship presents an invaluable opportunity to gain hands-on experience with technical vulnerabilities and compliance challenges, all while fostering meaningful client interactions in the dynamic field of cybersecurity.
Responsibilities:
Communicate results of security testing and compliance examinations to clients.
Assist in penetration testing, security assessments, and GRC readiness examinations.
Maintain positive customer relationships throughout the assigned project.
Contribute to in-house tasks, including installing new operating systems on devices, shipping laptops, and communicating with customers.
Minimum Requirements:
Currently enrolled in an IT-related major with college credits.
Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week during the internship.
Demonstrates a proactive and optimistic approach to tasks and challenges.
Possesses excellent interpersonal skills, cultivating positive client relationships.
Addresses client needs with a high level of professionalism and responsiveness.
Education and Experience :
Basic understanding of IT, including GRC, networking, web applications, and cloud platforms.
Basic to intermediate knowledge of cybersecurity techniques, tactics, and procedures (TTPs)
Physical Abilities Required:
Ability to lift 10 lbs.
