Job Type: Contract to hire with intent to hire

Location: Columbus, OH - HYBRID

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the Oracle 11 database and application.
2. Provide a detailed report outlining current issues, risks, and recommended solutions.
3. Implement approved changes, including:

1. Database performance tuning.
2. Schema optimization.
3. Index and query improvements.
4. Application-to-database interaction refinements.

1. Collaborate with the application team to ensure seamless integration of changes.
2. Establish monitoring and alerting mechanisms for ongoing stability.
3. Deliver documentation and conduct training sessions for the in-house team.
   

Expertise Required
Candidates must demonstrate:

1. Extensive experience with Oracle 11 database administration and development.
2. Proven track record of resolving performance and scalability issues in legacy systems.
3. Proficiency in database performance tuning, schema design, and query optimization.
4. Ability to work with teams with limited DBA expertise.
5. Strong communication and documentation skills.
6. Familiarity with monitoring tools and best practices for ongoing maintenance.
