Job Description

Job Description:

Agency 15 seeks an experienced creative writer who thinks like an advertiser and writes like a human being. You must think quickly, collaborate with other creative team members, and provide an extra pair of critical eyes. As a senior copywriter, you’ll be asked to turn on a dime and write for various mediums, including print and web. You’ll need to draft social media posts and then switch to proofing an RFP, all before being tasked with helping to evolve a new branding campaign with fellow writers and designers. Professional experience in writing and proofing succinct, creative, and engaging copy is required.

Along with your resume and cover letter, please send a collection of professional writing samples.

Reports to:

  • Writing for various audiences and industries and in various voices.
  • Crafting social media posts.
  • Proofing and editing any and all agency/client documents and releases for formatting, grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Continually ascertaining workflow efficiency and accurate completion of projects according to deadlines.
  • Working alongside designers for headlines and longer form romance copy.

Expectations:

  • The ability to work to strict deadlines without compromising on work quality.
  • The ability to work within allocated budgets.
  • Meticulous organizational skills.
  • An eye for detail.
  • Strong research skills.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or related field preferred.

  • Careful self-editing.
  • Familiarity with AP Stylebook.

Salary Range: $45,000 - $65,000, commensurate with skills and experience.

Portfolio: To be considered for this position, applicants must submit a writing portfolio.
