- Position Summary
- One temporary hourly-intermittent Work Study Student Assistant positions in the English Department.
- Start Date
- Position available on or after August 21, 2024 and ending on or before May 23, 2025. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.
- Job Description/Duties
- Duties include but are not limited to:
- Assist with communication and greeting visitors.
- Assist with telephone inquiries and routing them to the appropriate person and taking messages when necessary.
- Assist in retrieving and sorting incoming mail and distributing it to appropriate recipients.
- Assist in making on-campus deliveries.
- Assist in basic troubleshooting with technology (printers, computers, copy machines, etc.).
- Assist in maintaining office supplies inventory.
Other duties as assigned.
- Qualifications
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrates the ability to utilize office equipment (copy machine, fax, scanner, etc.).
- Ability to follow verbal instructions.
- Demonstrates reliability, responsibility, and punctuality.
- Demonstrates good customer service and telephone etiquette skills.
- Demonstrates experience with Microsoft Office Software and TEAMS.
- Demonstrates the availability to work between 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
- Must have received and accepted Financial Aid award for the current semester/year in which you are applying.
