As our Business Development Manager (BDM) based in California, you'll be running your own show, managing the entire sales cycle for high-value PEO and HCM services. In this role, you'll be an entrepreneur, a consultant, and a trusted advisor for companies seeking real HR solutions. You'll manage everything from prospecting and networking to customizing and closing your own contracts for high-impact, relatively large-ticket HR solutions that make a lasting difference for clients.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Build and strengthen relationships with brokers and referral partners in California and nationwide, securing new client leads.
• Understand each client's unique challenges and tailor HR solutions that address their specific needs.
• Conduct engaging demos with prospects, showcasing how AlphaStaff's solutions can address their unique HR needs and challenges.
• Manage all aspects of the sales cycle from prospecting to contract negotiation, independently handling contracts and client follow-up.
• Represent AlphaStaff at industry events and conferences, expanding your network and establishing brand recognition.
• Partner with sales leadership and our marketing team to align on strategies and drive lead generation efforts.
• Achieve personal sales targets, contributing directly to the growth of the company.

Qualifications:

• Proven success selling complex HR or PEO solutions, ideally within the California market.
• Strong track record of building and developing client relationships, particularly with C-level stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, managing the full sales process with minimal oversight.
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills, with a consultative approach to client interactions.
• Motivated self-starter who thrives on autonomy and demonstrates a proactive approach to business development.
• Comfortable networking and building relationships, with a preference for working out in the market rather than from a desk.
• This position is located in California, although it is a remote, work-from-home opportunity.
